Why Design?

If I were to design an outfit, I would design it based on who I wanted to buy the garment. Who ever my target market. I would conform my ideas around what I think my cosumers want.

I would take into consideration what colors are in style and what silhouttes are popular. I would take into account the lifestyles of my buyers as well.

New York Fashion Week

I enjoyed watching the spring 2009 Fashion Week videos and pictures. I liked a lot of the lines including some of the ready-to-wear lines.

One ready-to-wear line that I really liked was the Vivienne Westwood Red Label collection because it is a mix of masculine and feminine styles.

I truly believe that Marc Jacobs may have been one of my favorite shows out of them all. His line had amazing colors and I liked the fact that it had somewhat of a deconstructed glamour look about it!

My Favorite Designer

My favorite designer would have to be Betsey Johnson. I love the fact that her clothes are always edgy and colorful. Her style is very unique and different from any other designer around. Her fashion shows are always suprising because you never know what she is goingo to do.
